GOLF AT THE OMNI TUCSON NATIONAL

The Omni Tucson National Golf Resort offers two distinct 18-hole championship courses for resort and public play.

The Catalina Course at the Omni Tucson National Resort is host to the PGA Tour's Chrysler Classic of Tucson and the Southern Arizona Open. This traditional-style course offers views of the Santa Catalina Mountains and the 18th hole is considered one of the most challenging finishing holes by PGA pros.

The Tom Lehman designed Sonoran Course at the Omni Tucson National Resort is a desert-style target course with native vegetation, strategic bunkering, a variety of wildflowers and immaculate conditioning.

A large, well-stocked golf shop as well as a golf school staffed with PGA certified professionals is on site.  The practice facilities at the Omni Tucson National Resort are state of the art and are frequently used by PGA professionals and amateurs.

ACCOMMODATIONS

A $92 million transformation is currently under way at the Omni Tucson National throught 2008 and 2009.  Now complete is Phase One offering 79 newly remodeled, expansive Mountain Vista guestrooms and lofts that surround the Sweetwater Terrace and Infinity Edge pool in the heart of the resort.  The multi-phase project will be complete by year-end 2009 with a total of 279 casitas, deluxe casitas and suites.

The Spa

The Omni Tucson National Resort features a 13,000 square-foot European-style spa and fitness center. The Cybex-equipped Fitness center provides free weights, treadmills, stairmasters and lifecycles. Personal training sessions and group classes in aerobic and yoga are available daily as well as massage, in-depth facials, body ttreatments and wraps, sauna, steam room and full-service hair care salon.

Dining

The Legends Bar and Grill is a classy sports pub featuring custom billiards, table shuffleboard and darts and offers a wide range of microbrews and draft beers.  Fare includes soups, salads, sandwiches and appetizers.  Fine dining is available at the Catalina Grille which boasts an excellent menu in a beautifully elegant southwest atmosphere.  Casual breakfast and lunch is served both indoors and out at the California Cafe.
A new upscale Steakhouse and Wine Bar will open its doors during phase two in the winter 2008-2009 with a chic design and terrace offering dramatic views of the mountainside

Events & Meetings

Our new conference and event venues will offer the ideal meeting destination in Tucson. Following a $92 million transformation, the resort will feature the Santa Catalina Ballroom with views of the Sonoran desert, pristine fairways and silhouetted mountaintops.  In addition to the grand ballroom, two versatile salons and four additional meeting rooms combine to create over 22,000 square of meeting space.

How to Get There:

From Tucson Internation Airport: Exit left (west) off Tucson Blvd. onto Valencia; proceed 3 miles to I-19 North; travel north approx. 5 miles to I-10 West interchange; take I-10 West to Exit 246 (Cortaro Farms Road); proceed right (east) on Cortaro 3.5 miles to Shannon Road; turn left (north).  The Omni Tucson National Golf Resort and Spa is located 1/4 mile on the right.
