TRILOGY GOLF CLUB AT VISTANCIA (623) 328-5100
Arizona Golf Course Review
The Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia had been open for 4-1/2 years and in 2008 was the only course in Arizona to be awarded 5 Stars by Golf Digest.
Award-winning course architect Gary Panks designed the Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia to complement the surrounding washes and blend with the
natural settings. The distinctive landscaping of the course is remarkable, while a scenic view of the Twin Buttes provides a stunning backdrop Desert
washes, streams, lakes and ponds along with significant sand bunkering (72 in total) add aesthetics and challenge for all golfers, while mountain
backdrops often frame the rolling green complexes.
The beautiful 11,000 square foot clubhouse was designed by architect Bing Hu, and features a full service pro shop, plus V's Taproom (Trilogy at Vistancia's recently renovated
restaurant/bar) that is open for lunch 7 days a week with breakfast being offered on Saturday and Sunday. Banquet facilities can accommodate 200 people. A gorgeous outdoor
terrace is spacious in size and includes a fireplace centering an area with comfortable seating.
Complete practice facilities are on property, and include a complimentary grass range, putting green and short game area with practice bunker. Members in this 7,100 acre
upscale community can also enjoy 3 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, a full workout facility and other notable amenities. Simply put, this place is beautiful!
Five sets of tee areas provide golfers with choices of playing to distances/slopes measuring 7259 yards/134 slope, 6868 yards/129 slope, 6508 yards/125 slope, 6132 yards/120
slope and 5573 yards from the forward tees. On course measurement markers are provided on all sprinkler heads and on 100, 150 and 200 yard blocks in the fairways, and hole
locations are indicated on daily pin placement sheets. The sculpted tee boxes also have measurements to the center of the green.
As the slope ratings indicate, this course is playable for all levels of skills. Wide landing areas should afford most players an opportunity to land on the well manicured fairways.
The terrain is gently rolling, with reasonable carries over desert washes on a few holes. Most green complexes feature mild undulations and subtle mounding, with ample space
for bail outs - particularly on the par threes. TifEagle putting surfaces roll quick and true...land on the greens in regulation and low scores can be had.
Overall this is a very fair course that will challenge scratch golfers from the tips, and will provide a resort-style experience for mid to high handicappers that elect to play from the
Verde or forward tees. With very reasonable rates, this is a value round and is HIGHLY recommended! It is one of the most beautiful golf facilities in the area!
