TUSCANY FALLS GOLF CLUB (623-935-6757)
Arizona Golf Course Review
General Information
Eagle's Nest (18-hole course) and Tuscany Falls (27 hole layout) provide 45 holes of top notch championship golf on designs that are managed by Pebble Creek HOA. Both of the
residential layouts are extremely well maintained from tee to green, with fine landscaping and outstanding service. The courses wind through the Pebble Creek residential
community, with a strong membership, but with year round tee times for the general public as well.
TUSCANY FALLS
Tuscany Falls is located just across the street from the Eagle's Nest clubhouse, and features 27 holes of outstanding golf. The images in this review are of the Falls and Palms
nines. The Lakes Course has four tee areas that play to 3345, 3065, 2805 and 2485 yards, and is rated as the most challenging of the three nines. This 27-hole course is know
for its outstanding conditioning, rolling fairways and dramatic mounding.
The layout at Tuscany Falls was designed by Dick Bailey and opened for play in 1999. While Eagle's Nest features numerous carries over desert areas (especially from the back
tees), the design here features carries over lakes and ponds. Like its sister course however, much of the teeth of these hazards is removed for those playing from the two forward
tees.
Water comes into play on 5 holes, with plentiful landing zones awaiting well placed tee shots. Bunkering is understated but strategic, as 25 soft sand traps are situated near the
fairways or greenside. The layout winds through a residential community, with medium size green complexes that are generally open in front and mounded on the sides and
backs.
There are 4 sets of tees, with the Falls measuring 3235, 2966, 2637 and 2287 yards, with slope ratings ranging from 125 to 104. The Palms is the longest of the three nines and
measures 3405, 3181, 2826 and2401 yards with slopes between 128 and 104. On course sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the green and 100, 150 and 200 yards
stakes are positioned on the fairways of all par fours and fives. Pin placement shetts are mounted on the carts, and color coded flags also indicate front, middle or back hole
locations.
The clubhouse features a pro shop plus Toscanos Restaurant/lounge - with lunch and dinner menus plus a popular Sunday Brunch. Practice facilities include a targeted grass
range, short game area with sand bunker, plus putting green. For more info, visit our page for the course, with direct link to their website by clicking here.
