Arizona Golf Course Review
Looking for a true desert golf experience? Starr Pass boasts 27 holes of championship desert golf, designed by none other than Arnold Palmer. The upscale JW Marriott is one of
the most gorgeous resorts in Arizona, providing exquisite accommodations and unparalleled golf course and mountain views, luxurious swimming pools and Jacuzzis, the
Hashani Spa, 24-hour fitness facility, a variety of fine dining experiences (as well as a Starbucks) plus beautiful business, conference and banquet/wedding facilities. The
grounds are artfully designed and wonderfully manicured - one of the most gorgeous properties we have encountered in our many travels. A stay is highly recommended by
twoguyswhogolf.com. For more information, visit our page for the property, with a direct link to their website by clicking here.
The 20,000 square foot clubhouse features a full service, award winning pro shop, the Grill Room and Bar Lounge ( open 7 Am - 10 PM & serving Southwestern favorites for
breakfast, lunch and dinner), The Palmer Room (private dining room for up to 16 people, with fireplace and patio), Trellis patio overlooking the 18th green for cocktails or dining,
luxurious men's and women's locker rooms, and complete banquet services.
The practice facilities include a spacious grass range with target greens plus separate putting, chipping and bunker play area. On course golfers will find yardages posted on all
tee boxes, sprinkler heads measured to the center of the green, 100, 150 and 200 yard markers, and color coded flags to indicate the day's pin placement. Five sets of tees allow
golfers to choose a distance that meets their game, with slopes ranging from 125 to 139. Spectacular desert mountain backdrops are enhanced by plentiful wildlife and abundant
Upper Sonoran Desert vegetation, making Starr Pass one of the most visually stunning courses in Arizona! Above are photos of the Coyote nine which is the longest of the three
layouts, with tees that play to 3512, 3391, 3118, 2965 and 2593 yards.
The tees on the Rattler nine measure 3490, 3355, 3097, 2920 and 2669 yards. Photos of this gorgeous nine are featured below.
The Roadrunner nine is the shortest of the three, but is one of the most interesting as it meanders up and down the mountain sides. The tees here play to distances that measure
3241, 3083, 2858, 2636 and 2370 yards.
For those who have not ventured to Tucson for a golf vacation - we highly recommend a trip here...the golf experiences are incredible. For more info, visit our page for Starr Pass,
