SILVERADO GOLF CLUB SCOTTSDALE (480-778-0100)
Arizona Golf Course Review
Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club is an 18-hole 6300 yard layout that is a player friendly design, with level, open fairways that are dotted with scattered trees and understated
bunkering.
The clubhouse is a beautiful facility that includes a pro shop plus restaurant/lounge serving full menus for breakfast and lunch. The outdoor patio is a wonderful place for dining or
for parties and special events. The views from the terrace of the gorgeous 18th hole are spectacular. There is no range on property, but a short game area for chipping and a large
putting green are on property.
Three sets of tees play to yardages and slopes of 6313/116, 5734/111 and 4896 yards with a slope of 105 for men and 111 for women. As these ratings indicate, this is a great
course for beginners and high handicappers - and is a good course for a warm up or casual round for experienced players. The beginning holes begin along a level terrain, with
numbers 6, 7 and 8 playing from slightly elevated tees.
The photos just above and below were taken from the back nine, which features greater elevation changes and beautiful desert mountain backdrops. Throughout the layout,
golfers will encounter level lies along the manicured fairways, and will putt on surfaces that are medium in size and only mildly undulating. There is little mounding green side,
allowing for good up and down opportunities from shots hit slightly short or offline.
On course yardages are posted on fairway blocks and on the cart paths at 100, 150 and 200 yards, with 150 yard stakes doubling as directional devices on all par fours and fives.
The tee boxes provide measurements to the center of the green on the 6 par threes. Silverado is an aesthetically pleasing golf experience, with rates that make this a good value
all year long. For more info on the course, visit our page for Silverado, with direct link to their website by clicking here.
