Seven Canyons in Sedona is a spectacular Tom Weiskopf championship design surrounded by 100,000 thousand breathtaking acres of the Coconino Natural Forest. Red rock
mountains, cascading streams and a forested, rolling terrain provide the backdrop for some of the world's most awe-inspiring golf course scenery. Non-ember play on Seven
Canyons is available exclusively through Enchantment Resort.
The Clubhouse at Seven Canyons features a restaurant and bar with quite an extensive menu (for such an intimate space). There is a well stocked pro shop, and practice facilities
include a grass range, short game area plus putting green. The regulars who we encountered during our review rave about the facilities, golf course design and consistent
conditioning of this layout. Golfers will find manicured conditioning and landscaping from tee to green.
There are 6 sets of tees designed to provide opportunities for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a round here. The tips measure 6746 yards and play to a slope of 139. Alternate sets
measure 6509 yards/136 slope, 6189 yards with a 132 slope, 5650 yards with a slope of 127 for men and 149 for ladies, 5218 yards with a 141 slope for women and 4986 yards
with a 125 slope for ladies hitting from the forward tees. Sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the green and 100, 150 and 200 yard markers are also posted on all par
fours and fives. Each golf cart has mounted pin placement sheets. The tee boxes also provide measurements to the center of the green.
There are 50 intricately shaped, soft sand bunkers situated along the landing zones on the gently rolling fairways or greenside, and water comes into play o just 2 holes. The
course design is such that most golfers will have an opportunity to use every club in their bag. There are some long driving holes mixed in with those that demand careful shot
placement. There is a significant amount of elevation changes from tee to green, with numerous elevated tees and several raised or uphill green complexes.
The photos in this review should do the work for you here! This is an incredible design situated in one of the most scenic spots in the country – with great conditioning, friendly
service and reasonable price structure. Dining services include breakfast, lunch, dinner plus catering. Golf lessons for a variety of situations are available, and Seven canyons is
an excellent location for parties, tournaments or special events. It is worth the drive from Phoenix to play this course!
