Arizona Golf Course Review

Eagles Nest Golf Club - Arizona Golf Course

General Information

Eagle's Nest (18-hole course) and Tuscany Falls (27 hole layout) provide 45 holes of top notch championship golf on designs that are managed by Pebble Creek HOA. Both of the residential layouts are extremely well maintained from tee to green, with fine landscaping and outstanding service. The courses wind through the Pebble Creek residential community, with a strong membership, but with year round tee times for the general public as well.

EAGLE'S NEST

The Eagles Nest course was designed by Keith Foster and opened for play in 1993. The layout features a mostly level terrain, with perimeter mounding on the manicured bermuda (rye over-seed during the winter) fairways, and with significant swales and mounds situated alongside and behind the fairly level green complexes. From the tips golfers will encounter numerous carries over landscaped desert areas - which by the way are playable from the open areas.

From the three remaining sets of tees golfers will find this design to be quite score-able. The black tees play to a 130 slope from 6790 yards. While the three remaining sets play to distances and slopes measuring 6150 yards/121 slope (recommended for the average player), 5725 yards/115 slope and 4925 yards with a slope of 112 from the red tees. There also is a combination tee area on several holes - with tees that play to distances that in-between the whites and reds. Using these yardages golfers will play 5115 yards with a 116 slope.

In total 41 soft sand bunkers are situated near the landing zones off the tee or are situated greenside, and water hazards come into play on 7 holes. On course yardages are marked on the sprinkler heads, and stakes are positioned on the sides of fairways at 100, 150 and 200 yards. There is a pin placement chart on each cart and color coded flags also indicate front, middle and back hole locations.
