The Golf Club at Dove Mountain (formerly The Ritz Carlton, Dove Mountain) course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design that serves as host to the WGC Accenture Match Play

with majestic saguaros and stunning desert mountain landscape. The are 3 distinctive nines on property - this review features images of the Saguaro and Tortolita nines. The

The Clubhouse is expansive and features a well stocked pro shop, dining area, lounge, meeting rooms and locker rooms with showers. Practice facilities include a targeted
grass range, short game area with sand bunkers, plus putting greens. Tennis courts and other amenities are available to members. A GPS system is mounted onto each cart,
providing accurate information from tee to green. For those walking (which is allowed anytime), 100, 150, 200 (and 250 on par fives) markers are posted near the cart paths on all
par fours and fives, and sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the green.
This is a long course from the tips. The Saguaro measures 3894 from the tips, 3692 from the blues, 3407 from the copper tees, 3232 from the yellows (recommended for the
average golfer) and 2645 from the forward tee boxes. The Tortolita nine is even longer - with measurements of 3955, 3618, 3404, 3102 (average golf recommended) and 2638
yards. The Wild Burro - which was over-seeded during our visit - measures 3897, 3632,3349, 3122 and 2596 yards. The slope rating range from 147 to 125. Top notch players
can choose tees that will give them all they can handle, while average and resort golfers can enjoy a round playing from the 3 front tee areas.
Along the 27 holes there are 114 soft sand bunkers of various shapes and sizes, with many of them situated along the landing zones on the nicely manicured fairways. Water
comes into play off the tee or on the approach on just 3 holes. Golfers will encounter rolling fairways and undulating green complexes, with frequent carries over natural desert
washes. There are several elevated tee areas and numerous raised green complexes.
We highly recommend a round on The Golf Club at Dove Mountain. You will be treated to a first class golf experience and will build some fond memories of high desert golf. For
