The Founders Course at the Verrado Golf club is a gorgeous 18-hole championship facility that is a wonderful complement to its sister course, The original design at Verrado-the
Victory Course, located a couple miles away with its own clubhouse and facilities. The Founders was named as the 29th best course you can play in the US by Golf Advisor!
The clubhouse features a full service restaurant/lounge and outdoor patio with great golf course vistas. There are locker-rooms as well as a full service pro shop, and practice
facilities consist of multiple putting greens, a short game are and targeted grass range. On course sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the green on all par fours and
fives, and each tee box also provides yardages.
Golfers can choose from 9 combinations of tee area variations that provide an opportunity for all levels of players to enjoy a round. The tips play to a championship level of 7258
yards with a men's slope of 139. There are 3 of the more challenging sets which play to distances and slopes measuring 7036/134, 6833/130, 6561/127. The white tees measure
6228 yards with a 123 slope for men and 134 for women. The ladies forward tees play to 5403 yards/117 slope and 5142 yards/113 slope. There are a couple of other tee area
combinations to choose from.
The front nine is a bit longer than the back, with ample room off the tee to grip it and rip it. Strategically placed sand bunkers and desert areas/carries will provide the challenge, as
water comes into play on only the short par four ninth. The back nine is desert mountain golf at its finest!, with consistent elevation changes and contoured terrain. This is one of
the more spectacular 9 holes in Arizona! The two back tees present some intimidating carries, with the alternative sets being much more playable.
