Scenically set against the backdrop of Arizona's McDowell Mountains, The Fairmont Scottsdale appropriately reflects its Southwestern setting with its Spanish colonial style
architecture and terra-cotta color. The buildings are positioned to capture the feeling of wide-open spaces, complete with Cupolas (coo-po-lah). Southwestern tradition
says the Cupolas served as a beacon to travelers indicating shelter and a gathering place for social activity, hospitality and culture.
The historians and architects who created The Fairmont Scottsdale captured this special spirit. Guests from around the world come to experience the traditions,
adventures, romance and spirit of the Southwestern Borderlands, found at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
