Arizona Golf - El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort

Set in the expansive Sonoran Desert in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, El Conquistador exemplifies the best of Southwestern living. This four-star, four diamond destination blends Mexican, Native American and Western style into the 428 rooms, suites and casitas located in low-rise buildings of one to three stories. The resort headlines the 2003 collection of  "The Connisseur's Guide to the World's Best Resorts and Great Hotels."

GOLF

The El Conquistador boasts 45 holes of championship golf on three courses.  Designed by Greg Nash and Jeff Hardin in 1982 and renovated by Greg Nash in 1999 and 2000, the Conquistador, Canada and Pusch Ridge courses offer a challenge to any level of player.

Arizona Golf - El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort

The Conquistador course provides an exceptional golf experience. The re-shaped fairways and greens create an exceptionally playable course and the new landscaping adjacent to the fairways means the desert rarely comes into play except as an exceptionally beautiful backdrop for every round. Although the greens were renovated in the summer of 2000, The Canada course currently retains the charm and challenge of high-desert golf popular for over a decade.  The natural terrain comes into play as the fairways wind through ravines and arroyos and many of the holes feature elevation changes from tee to green.

Arizona Golf - El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort - Pro Shop

Pusch Ridge is a nine-hole resort course that surrounds the 428 room resort complex.  Sporting a 175-foot change in elevation from start to finish, this par-35 layout is not to be taken lightly.

A fully stocked pro shop is located at the El Conquistador as well as the Tucson Golf Academy where you can revitalize your game or learn to play with expert instruction.
