GOLF

Apache Stronghold Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout that features a 3,200 foot elevation, with two par-5 holes of over 600 yards each, and five par-4's which push the envelope. Many of the fairways on the front nine are isolated in their own valleys, surrounded by 20 to 50 foot hills covered in sage and mesquite trees.

A practice green, short game practice area and driving range are on property as well as a well-stocked pro shop with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Lessons and clinics are available by appointment.

Distant mountain ranges provide a backdrop for several greens, including the par-3 14th, a modified Redan hole set atop a 90-foot ridge at the southern end of the course. Apache Stronghold is both challenging and spectacular.

From Phoenix: Take I-10 to Hwy. 60/70. Travel east to Globe.Turn left onto Hwy 70 just past Globe and follow for 5 miles. 

From Tucson: Take Hwy 77 north to Globe. Turn right onto Hwy 70 and follow for 5 miles.
